Honoring Fawn Fitter

Fawn Fitter is the original ideator for this game. A fierce and longtime reproductive rights activist, she predicted and prepared for the post-Roe reality we find ourselves in. Fawn and I met at the local activism group we both belong to, Indivisble San Francisco. We spent the four years of the unfortunate Trump administration doing voter outreach, participating in and leading demonstrations, and publishing a weekly newsletter with actions that regular people could undertake. We continued that work together for years afterwards as well. Fawn is an incredibly talented and evocative writer, and a ruthlessly effective editor. She is also an amazing mentor and a wonderful, witty, adventurous and courageous person.

Fawn is part of Self-Managed Abortion Safe and Secure (SASS), an organization that helps people learn about abortion and reproductive rights. Shortly before the fall of Roe, Fawn had trained me in spreading information on self-managed abortion, and thought developing a game with my friends would be a great way for me and my friends to retain the information.  We worked together on the game for a little more than a year and a half in our spare time.
